Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She is widely credited with initiating the contemporary research into the study of eyewitness memory and child victims as witnesses in court contexts. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive, she has received numerous grants and is the recipient of numerous awards both national and internationally. She has offered policy and research consultations to many agencies and departments from all over the world. She works as a Consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychological Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
